This expansion has a very original concept to sims which makes it 10x more attractive. The EP is beautifully made, the design is nice and very “island fitting”. Sims 3 is "better", but suffers from not running well with all of the packs installed (32bit, not enough memory, etc). Sims 4 always felt like Sims 2 "HD" if that makes any sense. Sims 3 is truly open world, where you can have multiple household members in different areas doing different things at the same time. The problem with The Sims 3 isn't really the open world or anything particularly, because most computers are more than fast enough to deal with it at this point.
